Five-kilometre walk, organised with Rotary Club Jaipur North, Jaipur Runners Club and Rotary Club Jaipur Midtown, promotes daily activity and preventive health

Jaipur, We organized a Health Walk on a Sunday morning to promote a healthy way of life and raise awareness regarding health prevention at Suvira Hospital. The event was organized by us in collaboration with Rotary Club Jaipur North, Jaipur Runners Club and Rotary Club Jaipur Midtown. Over 500 participants were present at this event, which included families, senior citizens, youngsters, fitness lovers, and medical professionals.

Before the walk, we began with a lively Zumba session so that participants could warm up. Dr. Rajiv Gupta, Senior Joint Replacement Surgeon at Suvira Hospital, said: “Zumba lifted everyone’s energy and mood, and it also prepared the muscles for the walk. We wanted the morning to feel joyful, because that is what keeps people active in the long run.”

The walk was flagged off by Pt. President of Sanskriti Yuva Manch, Suresh Mishra; former MLA Ashok Lahoti; and former Mayor Puneet Karnawat. Also there were our doctors like Dr. Rudradev Pandey, Dr. Sunil Beniwal, Dr. Vipin Jain, Dr. Mahendra Singh Punia, Dr. Rakesh Choudhary, and Dr. Puneet Gupta who accompanied the participants.

The five-kilometre route began at Suvira Hospital on Shipra Path, Mansarovar, passed through VT Road and returned to the hospital. Throughout the walk, participants showed their commitment to a healthier way of life.

While at the event, our doctors discussed the advantages of walking every day:

  • Walking makes the knees and joints strong, and keeps the heart healthy.
  • Walking will boost mental health, and will help with managing stress levels.
  • It enhances blood circulation and assists in maintaining one’s weight.

“A healthy community begins with small, consistent habits. Thirty minutes of walking each day is among the simplest and most effective steps anyone can take for their heart, joints and mind,” said the Suvira Hospital team. “We are grateful to our Rotary and Runners Club partners, our guests and every participant who made this morning a success. We will continue to organise such initiatives for the people of Jaipur.”
