Satellites are used for many different purposes, including military and commercial uses. They have become an indispensable part of modern life and have become a core technology for the military. Although satellites have some limitations, they are extremely useful for military applications. This is because satellites help with search and rescue operations, natural disasters and legal proceedings. Although satellites require maintenance, they are still extremely useful for military use.

Satellites are extremely helpful when searching or rescuing people from distress by sea or air. Satellites provide a bird’s eye view of the earth and detect small details on the ground that would otherwise be undetected. The US military has various satellites in orbit around the earth to collect information about a potential threat in another country. Satellites were also helpful following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami; they helped track survivors in remote areas who were unable to contact authorities on the ground. Satellites enable military personnel to quickly find distressed people at sea or in the air and assist them accordingly.

Military satellites allow authorities to see natural disasters and prevent loss of life beforehand. There are many satellites orbiting the earth that collect various data about our planet’s climate, environment, and population. They can collect this data from high above earth and provide valuable information about certain areas before disaster strikes. For example, using satellite data, authorities were able to predict where a 2017 wildfire would erupt in California and evacuate thousands of people beforehand. Satellite imagery is therefore extremely useful for military purposes because it can help with prevention of disasters.

Satellite images can be used as evidence in legal proceedings for crimes committed by air or sea. There are thousands of commercial satellites that take images of anywhere on earth at any time; this makes them a valuable resource for law enforcement. Government agencies use satellite images to track illegal fishing boats or spot fleeing criminals via airplane or boat. Therefore, satellite imagery is extremely useful for military purposes because it can help solve crimes committed by air or sea.

Although satellites have proven to be extremely useful, they require frequent maintenance to keep them functioning well. Some satellites last a few years before they start to degrade and lose functionality; others last decades before they need replacement parts or service. Additionally, some satellites don’t work over certain areas due to weather conditions; others may not work during daylight hours due to polar positioning issues with their orbits. Therefore, there is still room for improvement with satellite technology so it can better serve military needs

Satellites are vulnerable to terrorism if they are in the wrong hands. Although most satellites are safe for military use, some non-military satellites can be hijacked by terrorists or even enemy countries and used against us instead of helping us solve problems. Therefore, it’s important to keep abreast of technological advancement in satellite technology so military personnel only use safe systems instead of risking national security

Overall, satellites are extremely useful for military use because they help with search and rescue operations, natural disasters and legal proceedings. Although they require maintenance, they are still extremely useful because they help prevent risk and threats by air and sea. However, there are some limitations with satellite technology; therefore, it’s important to monitor technological advancements so military personnel only use safe systems instead of putting national security at risk.
